PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY
PREAMBLE
Oolong Media Inc. has adopted a Privacy and Confidentiality Policy (hereinafter the “Policy”) that applies to the actions taken by Oolong Media Inc. to maintain the confidentiality of personal and confidential information provided by the user while using the website Medical Alert Systems Canada.
Oolong Media Inc. places great importance on the protection of this information and commits to taking all possible measures to comply with applicable laws in this matter. Oolong Media Inc. therefore implements reasonable practices to protect the confidentiality of such information.

1.00 NATURE OF PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
Personal information is defined as per the meaning given by the Private Sector Privacy Act, being any information concerning a natural or legal person that allows for identification, such as name, contact information, and date of birth.

2.00 SCOPE OF THE POLICY
This Policy applies to Information provided by any natural person through the online form available on the Medical Alert Systems Canada website, or during any communication, such as receiving or sending emails, or telephone interviews. This Policy governs the collection, use, retention, disclosure, and destruction of Information, regardless of how it was collected (in writing, verbally, or electronically).
3.00 HOW OOLONG MEDIA INC. COLLECTS INFORMATION
Oolong Media Inc. collects Information as necessary for the management and administration of the relationship between Medical Alert Systems Canada and the user for the purpose of preparing a tailored quotes and follow-up by the partner with the user. Medical Alert Systems Canada collects Information, particularly when the user:
4.00 USE OF INFORMATION
Medical Alert Systems Canada uses the Information to perform its services to the user. Thus, Medical Alert Systems Canada collects the Information provided by the user to transmit it in full to certain partners of Oolong Media Inc., who will contact the user by phone or email to provide one or more quotes. When the user provides their phone number in any way, they consent to being contacted by partners, even if they are on the National Do Not Call List.
To ensure a service that meets the user’s needs and to provide a satisfactory quote, the partners may carry out routine checks on the Information, including but not limited to checking insurance claim backgrounds, credit bureau, and driver’s license.
Additionally, collecting the Information allows Medical Alert Systems Canada to resolve any technical issues or perform any tasks related to the operation or proper functioning of the website.
Oolong Media Inc. compiles data for statistical purposes to determine, among other things, the average value of insurance premiums selected by users. However, such compiled data does not contain any Information.
Medical Alert Systems Canada will not send unsolicited emails to users and will communicate with the user reasonably. When the user submits a request, Medical Alert Systems Canada reserves the right to contact the user regarding personalized and relevant services for them, as well as sending confirmation and satisfaction evaluation messages.

5.00 ACCESS TO INFORMATION
The user always has access to the Information provided in their request to Medical Alert Systems Canada by contacting Oolong Media Inc. or the selected partner for the quote. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the provided Information is accurate and up-to-date.
6.00 COMMUNICATION OF INFORMATION
The user consents to Oolong Media Inc. using or disclosing their Information to partners to ensure proper service management. This consent can be given verbally, in writing, electronically, and by accepting Oolong Media Inc.’s Terms and Conditions. In the event that the user’s Information needs to be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which they previously consented, Oolong Media Inc. will specify the reasons and request specific consent from the user for this purpose.
Oolong Media Inc. can use and disclose the user’s Information without their consent if allowed by law. This also applies when necessary to comply with legal requirements or a court order, to protect and defend the rights of Oolong Media Inc., or to enforce the terms and conditions of the Medical Alert Systems Canada website.
The user can withdraw their consent at any time for Oolong Media Inc. to collect, use, or disclose their Information. In this case, the user understands that Oolong Media Inc. may not be able to provide the services they need.
7.00 PROTECTION MEASURES AND SHARING OF INFORMATION
Oolong Media Inc. complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada) and the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec). To do so, Oolong Media Inc. has implemented security measures to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the Information provided by the user.
Oolong Media Inc. uses an SSL certificate meeting the latest security standards, which allows for the secure encryption of collected data, protecting and making any Information inaccessible to the user.
These security measures are subject to regular updates and checks.
Except as provided by law, only authorized persons, such as employees, partners, subcontractors, and any other person or entity, will have access to the user’s Information, strictly within the scope of their function or mandate with the user.
However, despite all reasonable measures taken by Oolong Media Inc., it cannot guarantee the absolute security of the user’s Information, as no system or network is immune to computer problems or other issues.
8.00 USE OF COOKIES AND GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Medical Alert Systems Canada uses “cookies.” These, or small files, are recorded on the user’s hard drive through the website. They allow for the distinct identification of users and tracking of certain activities on the website to personalize and improve the user’s browsing experience on the website. They are not harmful to the user’s computer system, and no Information is recorded through the use of “cookies.” If the user does not wish to be subject to “cookies,” they can disable them by changing their browser settings.
Medical Alert Systems Canada uses Google Analytics and other web tracking tools to analyze the profile and behavior of users for market research purposes. The data thus generated is transmitted and stored by Google. This shared data by users will not be sold to third parties. The user understands that Google may have to disclose this data to third parties if legally compelled or if these third parties process this data for Google. 9.00 DURATION OF RETENTION AND DESTRUCTION OF INFORMATION
The Information provided by the user is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as described in section 4.
10.00 AMENDMENT OF THIS POLICY
Oolong Media Inc. reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time, at its sole discretion.
